Soinotiin
Soinotiin (“we”, “us”) is an independent developer. This policy describes how the Soinotiin iOS app and this website handle information. The app’s purpose is to control a compatible smart sand painting machine near you.
The app uses the internet to download pattern images and related catalog information from our cloud servers. The app talks to the sand painting machine only over Bluetooth. Internet access is not used to send drawing commands to the machine. The app has no registration, no login, and no user account.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email support, we receive your email address, the message, and any files you attach (for example a screenshot of a connection error).
Information created on your devices
- Bluetooth pairing data. The name, Bluetooth identifier, and connection state of a sand painting machine you choose to pair. This stays on your iPhone unless you include it in a support email.
- Drawings and preferences. Pattern choices, light settings, playback state, and favorites are stored on your device.
- Diagnostics you send. If you contact us about a crash or failed drawing, we only see what you paste or attach.
Information created when the app uses the internet
When the app downloads pattern pictures, thumbnails, and other catalog files from the cloud, our servers or hosting providers may record ordinary delivery logs, such as:
- IP address and approximate network location
- Time of the request
- App version and basic device type needed to serve the right files
- Which image or catalog file was requested
The app has no registration, no login, and no user account. There is no user profile and no sign-in. Cloud access is only used to download public pattern images and catalog files. The app does not upload your pairing records or local settings.
Website
This marketing site is static. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics pixels. Your host or browser may still create ordinary server or cache logs (for example IP address and pages requested). We do not sell that information.
2. Permissions the app may request
- Bluetooth. Required to discover, pair, and control a nearby sand painting machine. Drawing commands, progress, and light settings travel on this Bluetooth link only.
- Internet (Wi‑Fi or cellular). Required to download pattern images and catalog information from the cloud. Without a network connection, the library may be incomplete or unavailable.
The app does not request Local Network, Photos, Camera, Microphone, or Location. We do not use Bluetooth to track you or to derive your location.
If you deny Bluetooth permission, the app cannot operate the machine. If the iPhone is offline, the app cannot refresh cloud images. You can change Bluetooth permission later in iOS Settings.
3. How we use information
- To pair the app with your machine over Bluetooth and run drawings you start.
- To download and display pattern images and catalog content from the cloud.
- To remember your library choices and settings on the same iPhone.
- To keep the catalog working and to reply to support requests.
- To meet a legal request if we are required to.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your patterns or device data for advertising. We do not build a social graph. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who must see it to deliver email, website hosting, or cloud file delivery (for example a content host or CDN that stores pattern images), or when the law requires it. Those providers are not permitted to use it for their own marketing. Commands you send to the sand painting machine stay on the Bluetooth connection between your iPhone and that machine. They are not sent to our servers.
5. Retention
Pairing records and local preferences remain on your iPhone until you delete the app or clear them in-app. Downloaded images may be cached on the device to open the library faster; clearing the app or iOS cache removes them. Cloud delivery logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service, then deleted within 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law. Support email is kept only as long as needed to finish your request, then deleted within 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law.
6. Children
Soinotiin is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. state privacy laws), you may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or to say whether we have collected it. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email soinotiin@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. International users
The app is offered on the U.S. App Store. If you contact us from another country, your message may be processed in the United States.
9. Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, note the change in the app.
